The Sales Analysis Report is the primary financial and operational audit tool for the Sales department. It provides a 360-degree view of revenue generation, collection efficiency, and product performance.

- Revenue Audit: Reconcile taxable values, GST collections, and net sales.
- Performance Analysis: Identify top-selling products and high-value customer groups.
- Collection Tracking: Monitor the gap between invoicing and actual payment receipts.
- Risk Management: Track outstanding balances in foreign currencies for export business.
This module is typically used by Finance Managers, Sales Heads, and Accountants for month-end closing and strategic planning.
2. Report Types & Analysis Use Cases đ
The module offers seven specialized report types for deep-dive financial analysis:
A. Sales By Invoice
- Purpose: Detailed chronological list of all sales transactions, including standard invoices, export invoices, and debit/credit notes.
- Best For: Tax Audits and GST Reconciliation. It includes IRN (E-Invoice) and E-Way Bill status.
- Key Data: Taxable Amount, CGST/SGST/IGST, TCS, Freight, Round-off, and Net Total.
B. Sales By Product
- Purpose: Breaks down sales data by individual items and product categories.
- Best For: Inventory Strategy and Sales Target Planning. It helps identify which categories (Raw Material, Finished Goods, etc.) are driving growth.
- Key Data: Item-wise Qty, Basic Amount, Item Category, and Product Line.
C. Receipt Against Invoice
- Purpose: Connects sales invoices with corresponding payment vouchers.
- Best For: Credit Control and Cash Flow Analysis.
- Key Data: Received Days vs. Credit Days, Cheque/Voucher details, and payment delays per invoice.
D. Month-Wise Summary
- Purpose: Consolidates sales performance into monthly buckets.
- Best For: Trend Analysis and Year-over-Year (YoY) Growth tracking.
- Key Data: Monthly aggregate of Basic Amount, Taxes, and Net Sales.
E. Freight Vendor Details
- Purpose: Analyzes the logistics aspect of sales.
- Best For: Logistics Audit and verifying transporter bills.
- Key Data: Transporter Name, Vehicle No, LR No, and Carrier Charges associated with each invoice.
F. Outstanding In Alternative Currency
- Purpose: Tracks unpaid export invoices in their original foreign currency (USD, EUR, etc.).
- Best For: Foreign Exchange (Forex) Management.
- Key Data: FCNR Amount, Exchange Rate, and Outstanding balance in foreign currency.
G. Sales Rejection
- Purpose: Analyzes goods returned by customers (Sales Returns).
- Best For: Quality Assurance and identifying repetitive product defects.
- Key Data: Warranty Status (Ok/Not Ok), Rejection Reason, Batch Code, and Return Qty.

DebitCredit). - Vouchers: Provides payment receipt data for collection tracking (Tables:
Voucher). - Sales Returns (SRN): Feeds the rejection analysis (Tables:
Sales Rejection). - Export Headers: Specific logic for FCNR and foreign currency tracking (
Export Invoice).

Selection Filters
- Report By: Narrow down by Party Group, Party Short Name, Item Group, or Item Short Name.
- Payment Term: Specific filter for the Receipt Against Invoice report to check compliance with credit terms.
- Unit: Filter by a specific dispatch center or view consolidated “All Units” data.
Generation & Performance
- Standard Print: Generates Excel reports formatted with frozen panes and business-ready layouts.
- Queue Feature: If the analysis period exceeds 12 months, the system recommends using the Queue button. This processes the heavy data in the background and sends a notification once ready, preventing browser timeouts.
