Advance License
Introduction
The Advance License feature helps maintain details of licenses issued for the import of goods without payment of duty, as per export obligations.
This feature enables users to record, track, and manage both export and import items under a single license, along with relevant status updates, document uploads, and linkage to sales or purchase transactions.
Features
| Feature | Description |

| Create New | Create a new advance license entry. |
| Linked Sales Orders | Displays the list of Sales Orders linked to this license. |
| Linked Purchase Indents | Displays the list of Purchase Indents linked to this license. |
| Update License (Only for Submitted or Received Licenses) | Update details such as License Number, License Date, Import Expiry Date, and Status. |
| Update Status (Only for Received Licenses) | Modify the current status of the license record. |
| Upload/Download Custom Registered Copy (Only for Received Licenses) | Upload or download the Customs Registered Copy for documentation purposes. |
| Modify | Edit existing details of the license (if allowed by system rules). |
| Generate and print the license record. | |
| Delete | Delete the license record. Alert: If the license is linked to Sales Orders or Purchase Indents, deletion will be disabled. |
| Create Line | Add export and import item lines to the license. |
| Link to Sales Order | Link the export item quantities to existing Sales Orders. |
| Link to Purchase Indents | Link the import item quantities to Purchase Indents. |
| Modify Line | Edit an existing export/import item line. |
| Delete Line | Delete a specific export/import item line. |
Common Validations in Line Creation

| Rate is not available in Price Master or found as 0 for this Item and Party. Are you missing the brand/currency? | No valid rate is defined for the given Item–Party–Brand–Currency combination. | Go to Price Master → Search by Item, Party, Brand, and Currency → Add or Update the Rate. |
| Export Item cannot be repeated in the same application. | The same export item has been added more than once within the same license. | Review the item list and remove duplicate export entries before saving. |
| This item is already used as an export item in this application. | The item has already been linked as an export item in this license. | Check the existing export items list and avoid reusing the same item within the same license. |
